AI may help our team work more efficiently, explore ideas, organize information, and improve internal processes.
The suitability of AI varies by project. We determine when and how it may be appropriately used.

- Vector conversion;
- Retouching;
- Color correction;
- Typography replacement;
- Trademark review;
- Copyright review;
- Resolution improvement;
- Human editing; and
- Customer approval.
Final production files may combine customer-supplied material, licensed assets, original human-created work, and AI-assisted elements.
5. Human Oversight
AI output may contain errors, inconsistencies, distortions, omissions, or unsuitable material.
Our team may review and modify AI-assisted output before it is used in a customer-facing context.
Human oversight may include:
- Reviewing accuracy;
- Checking spelling and grammar;
- Evaluating visual quality;
- Confirming project specifications;
- Identifying obvious intellectual-property concerns;
- Assessing suitability for production; and
- Obtaining required customer approval.
Human review reduces risk but does not guarantee that every error will be detected.
6. Accuracy Limitations
AI systems may generate information that is:
- Incorrect;
- Incomplete;
- Outdated;
- Misleading;
- Duplicative;
- Biased;
- Visually inaccurate; or
- Inconsistent with project requirements.
Customers should not rely on preliminary AI output as a final specification, legal conclusion, engineering determination, code-compliance decision, or production approval.
7. Customer Approval
Customers remain responsible for reviewing and approving:
- Final proofs;
- Names;
- Telephone numbers;
- Addresses;
- Dates;
- Prices;
- Spelling;
- Grammar;
- Colors;
- Logos;

Approval authorizes production based on the approved materials, regardless of whether AI assisted with an earlier stage.
8. Customer-Supplied Content
Customers are responsible for confirming that they have the right to use content they provide to us, including:
- Logos;
- Photographs;
- Illustrations;
- Trademarks;
- Product images;
- Written content;

The use of AI does not eliminate the customer’s responsibility to obtain required permissions, licenses, releases, and approvals.
9. Confidential and Sensitive Information
Customers should not submit highly sensitive information through general website forms, text messages, or ordinary email.
This includes:
- Social Security numbers;
- Complete payment-card numbers;
- Passwords;
- Medical records;
- Biometric identifiers;
- Government identification numbers; and
- Information subject to special confidentiality restrictions.
We seek to avoid placing sensitive or confidential customer information into public or consumer AI tools when doing so is unnecessary.
When AI tools are used, information may be processed by the applicable technology provider according to its contractual terms, privacy settings, and security practices.
10. AI Training and Provider Practices
AI providers maintain their own policies concerning data retention, security, model improvement, and training.
Where reasonably available, Alabama Sign Company may use account settings, business plans, or provider controls intended to limit the use of submitted business information for general model training.
We do not represent that every third-party AI provider follows identical practices.
11. Intellectual Property
The ownership and protectability of AI-generated content may vary depending on:
- The tool used;
- The level of human authorship;
- The source material;
- Contract terms;
- Applicable law; and
- The nature of the final work.
Unless expressly stated in writing, Alabama Sign Company does not guarantee that an AI-assisted element is eligible for copyright, trademark registration, exclusivity, or unrestricted use.
Customers seeking exclusive intellectual-property rights should disclose that requirement before design work begins.
12. Third-Party AI Services
AI tools are generally provided by third parties.
Alabama Sign Company is not responsible for:
- Changes to a provider’s technology;
- Provider outages;
- Provider-generated errors;

AI systems may reflect biases or limitations in their training data and design.
We may reject or modify content that is:
- Discriminatory;
- Offensive;
- Deceptive;
- Defamatory;
- Unlawful;
- Unsafe;
- Misleading;
- Infringing; or
- Inconsistent with our business standards.

Customers may ask whether AI materially contributed to a particular deliverable.
Where reasonably practical, customers may also request:
- Clarification;
- Human review;

The use or non-use of AI does not guarantee any particular creative, commercial, technical, or business result.
AI-assisted materials remain subject to the same proofing, approval, production, and project terms that apply to other materials.
18. Privacy
Personal information processed in connection with AI tools is addressed in our Privacy Policy:
